I would not allow my son to be involved in that either.

Good for her. Not condoning smacking your kids normally, but seems to be an understandable reaction in this case. Grown man making decisions that could get him shot, I'd probably react the same way.

I have to disagree on this one Debbie. She did what was needed to get her son out of potential lethal trouble. I would fully have expected the same kind of reaction if it was me & my mom involved. She also just robbed him of his tough guy image in front of his peers which long term no doubt will serve him well.

As i stated to Debbie i believe this came from love and the lady responded in a manner that was direct & effective cybotron r_9 . I seriously doubt it to be a daily situation with them

I totally agree Humboldt. In this case it was was warranted imho. Shame there are not more parents dealing with their kids as opposed to they themselves being part of this gang culture.
