is it possible to share internet between 3 computers....By using only crossover cables?

no hub or rooter....?

if so...can anyone help me for this one?

I run two with software and no hub but it requires a NIC for each one in a main computer plus one for internet if cable or DSL connection.

The only way i could think that would be possible is by having two NICs in one computer, but i have no idea if that would work. Why don't you just get a little $20 hub, thats much simpler.

depends on the OS mainly. disadvantage is 'server' must remain on at all times. depending on the hardware and other processes running on the server, this could also be resource intensive -- but that is rarely the case.

I might go with the hw solution for performance reasons but only if mili-seconds are important to you.
