I'm swithcing to Chrome

Post by Easto »

I've been a lifelong IE user and I've finally realized how much faster Chrome is on my machine.

Basically I need to know about the security settings and what to watch out for. Are there add ons for it that anyone would suggest?

AdBlock Plus extension....when you install it and configure it, flip on the switch for malware blocking.
Log in to your Google account. Now install it and log in on all devices you have, enable the "synch". Nice isn't it?
Sandbox is on by default
Only other thing I do is customize the toolbar...add the home button, show bookmarks bar for my common ones, and set it to start at Google each time I launch it.

You might want to give Opera a try too.

Flashblock and Noscript are the only other ones I use. There's one I can't remember the name of I have been wanting to try at work which allows a YouTube video to be fully downloaded to eliminate buffering issues if you're on a slower internet connection (we're on a T1 but you know, HD video)... the name escapes me, though.

I've noticed a couple of YouTube extensions that say they remove the adds and stuff like that. Does any recommend them?
