Apple products losing wifi connectivity

Post by aagiants »

SG'ers
I have a DDWRT router and for some reason all apple mobile devices lose connectivity after they power their screens down.

So on ipads/iphones- as soon as they hit the screen off button and turn it back on to resuse the device, the ipad/iphone is still connected to the router, but there is no activity. They have to unconnect and reconnect for it to work.

PC's and Android phones have no issues.

Has anyone experienced this and know how to resolve?

Had that issue at one client of mine....using a business grade access point...but same symptoms. Introduce an Apple device to the network the first time...works great. The next day...unable to hit the internet...gotta kinda power cycle everything and sometimes re-do the connection on the Apple device. yet Droids and Windows boxes work great all day every day.

Ended up replacing the router with a newer device.
Maybe update DD firmware version on yours?

Running iOS 7 by any chance? Did this just become an issue if you are?
