Bandwidth differs on EURODOCSIS 3.0 router

Post by coontje »

Hi all,

what is the catch behind this particular behaviour?

When connecting by wire two older Dell Latitude D830 notebooks, running XP equipped with NetXtreme controllers, I get the corresponding downstream am opting for, which is 120 Mbps.

However, when I connect on the same broadband router a HP 625 with Windows 7 or a Dell Inspiron latest generation with Windows 8, driver independently, the maximum reach is 30 Mbps.

On top of it, with the wireless controllers on both newer notebooks, I am able to get 60 Mbps, more than on the wired connections.

Left without clues... Thanks for your advices.

This is the compatibility issue. Router is not compatible with latest version of hardware. solution is to upgrade your Router.
