it's all sketchy reports right now.

if that's correct info, that's great that only 2 died !

crazy also,is all incoming & outgoing flights are canceled and the airport is closed.that is one busy ap

Kinda trips me out considering i just flew out of there (down to LA to see a hockey game) a few weeks ago....

At least not too many ppl died.

yes,it will be weird for us too,my wife does'nt love flying anyway,we are flying to Kauai out of Oakland in September,and yes,it's a miracle that not more people died.

ya,kind of my opinion too,there were no mayday or emergency calls from the cockpit before the crash & the weather & wind conditions were not a factor,it was clear & only 8mph winds.
but as we know it will take a long time before we have an official cause.

They were operating under visual flight rules (VFR) and regardless of whether or not the ILS instrument approach system was on or not should not have been a factor. By FAA rules, the VASI system should have been in working order regardless of construction. Red on red, your dead. Red on white, just right, White on white, your high as a kite. As for departing aircraft turbulence, pilots are taught to land beyond the point of take off of the preceding aircraft to avoid such conditions.

I can't tell by the amateur video just what happened. I won't even begin to speculate. I'd of had to have been in the cockpit to tell you what went on.

All I heard was that they didn't know, and a reporter asked if it could be pilot error, some dude said they haven't ruled anything out.
