How can I update it? Do I even need it?

Downloading the latest drivers gets it there
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

If you need it...not everyone uses it, for basic desktop use...no. For higher end user, graphics workstations or some higher end gaming...yeah you may go into there to tweak things.

I didn't see it show up in the options when I did update the drivers. I'll re download and try again.
