Win 7 Problem using TCP Optimzer as Admin

Post by Nascat »

I down load TCP Optimizer, it shows in downloads as an exe. I place it on my desk top (shortcut). When I click on it it tells me I have to be in Admin or elevated. I right click the Optimizer window and there is no run as admin. I read to right click exe to run as Admin nothing shows to select like that. Well..I am logged in as Admin and there is no place when I right click to elevate that shows run as Admin on the exe. I always boot up as Admin. What is the problem? I tried running UAC slide on Admin all the way down. Still it says two things the register it cannot access. I also disable Windows Vista TCP/IP auto-tuning which worked just fine when elevating to Admin to disable Windows Vista TCP/IP auto-tuning and now disabled. Sorry not real high technically, but some what advance user.

You may want to right-click on the actual exe, not the shortcut to the exe... Also, look at the top tabs in the dialog that opens up. Right-click > Properties > Compatability > Run as administrator.
