Sounds sweet....$500-$1K+ prize. BTW, everyone and their brother has a 1911 45, i.e. S&W, Colt, Remington, Ruger, Sig, etc. What did she get ?

Not a darn thing wrong with a Taurus. Even their base model is really nice.

I'm squinting to read the stamped letters "Made in ____" ..looks like "Brazil". A quick Google to Wikipedia of Taurus confirms that they're a plant in Brazil..originating in manufacturing stamped dies.

Fan of S&W myself...especially since I try to support US made products, thus supporting our economy more. One of their marketing girls was in a class I recently went to...she loves working there, says it's a great company to work for.

Oh bummer...the wife tells me the slide is too hard for her to pull back. :cry:

I guess (being a gentleman) I'll take it and save her the aggravation of this gun.
