I just picked up a Canon 70-200 F4 L IS for my Canon 50D. this was shot with it,I bought it for shooting whales,we will be on Maui at the end of Feb,I love this lens so far.

we went to this place yesterday on a walking photo tour http://www.fws.gov/sacramentovalleyrefuges/r_sac.html
some of the best ones are Bald Eagles,red tail hawks,turkey vultures ,and blue herons.we saw some Bald Eagles,but they never came close enough to get good shots.
