How much pressure from a log splitter?

Post by TonyT »

I found out the hard way just how much pressure is exerted by my log splitter. Snagged first 3/4' inch of left index finger between 2 logs. Bummed mostly because that was my primary nose digger.

That is unfortunate TonyT, as Philip says thankfully it was not worse. Damn somedays are just not worth waking up for. :(

Heal well & quickly my friend.

Just so ya know, it hurt for about 3 minutes, then the whole finger went numb. I haven't felt any pain since the first anesthetic at the hospital (dilaudid), and I'll be pain free until it heals (oxycod), or until I bump it the first time. I must do a foyer remodel next week and I'll likely bump it, scream a bit, bite my tongue and get back to work. But hey, one less nail to clip!

Surgery clipped back to the first joint, which would have been useless anyway. Right handed, fortunately.
