Lightning strikes!
There are up sides and down sides to any place that you live. Around here, there are plenty of down sides, such as being downwind from the cattle yards when the winds get really strong. Or heat being triple digit unbearable for long stretches during the summer. But there are plenty of up sides as well. The weather can be absolutely amazing to watch at times, and, as a photographer, the opportunities to capture mother nature at her finest abound. Like this little shot here, it was from a storm that was blowing in from the north. Plenty of open sky to the north of our place to be able to get a wide shot of the lightning hitting the ground.

It was a nice storm to sit in the garage and watch...our garage faces to the north, and this storm was coming out of the north moving south.
