Looking to Boost My Old Computer for Folding...Need Suggestions Please

Post by minir »

I am happy that it does not throw off much heat or noise but would like to boost its performance without affecting those parameters if possible. Would a new Card be the answer or would more RAM help? Wondering what would be most cost effective & the best solution.
It is presently doing about 1200 per day

I have stripped down all unecessary items like Games etc and i now use it exclusively for Folding.

Older CPU, I doubt theres anything you could do to make it fold faster. You already have more than enough RAM as well.
