I know it's been asked before, did a search and not really any answers to my questions,
Got 2 of the same routers Netgears, one is set up for wifi and all pc's and 1 mac can connect, however the Mac has a pretty long distance from one end of the house to the router, can the other router be used as an access point only for the Mac, kind of like a stronger airport card? Figured it's signal is probally stronger and could connect to the wifi router easier than the airport card alone? Make sense? Not feisable?
Router to Router (Netgear WGR614)

Act as if it were impossible to fail.

I did that very thing with the same router. Mine is a ver9. Turn off DCHP on the second netgear and plug the cable from the first netgear router into a LAN plug on the second netgear. NOT the WAN plug. The first netgear is the router and does all the ip assigning and switching. The second netgear rebroadcasts the radio signal and serves as a switch only. My first router is not another wgr614, so you may have to change the default channel and assign a different ip to the second router. By default the netgear is 192.168.1.1 while my Belkin is 192.168.2.1 so I had no conflict, but you will as you have two of the same model. I ran a cable from my router 100' to the wgr614 to increase the wifi so as to get a signal to my detached garage. Good luck
