Replacement / Seagate Momentus 5400.4

Post by scj6771 »

Looking for a replacement for my Seagate Momentus 5400.4 ST9250827AS hard drive.

Having issues trying to find a compatible drive for my HP laptop, did find a couple similar as seen below.

Could really use some help. Thanks for your time.

1. WD2500BEVT

2. HD103SI

I'd get the WD Scorpio Black 7,200rpm...
All you need is a 2.5" SATA drive....so your options are nice. I'd upgrade to a 7,200rpm. MUCH faster performance, and if you have adequate memory, you don't really get a big hit in battery life (plus the Scorpios are very low in batt consumption anyways..they're 7,200rpm model is about as thirsty as a typical 5,400rpm drive). They have bigger models if you'd like. 16 megs cache too!

Cat, you linked him to the Canadian site... :p

$5 more in the US, however overall cheaper when you factor in shipping...

I have installed a few of these, definitely a great drive for a lappy!
