I caught them a few weeks ago. Opened up for themselves with a 60 minute acoustic set, then came back and played another 2 hours electric. Excellent show.

Jerry Lee Lewis: Live From Austin Texas ... Though well ranked by others i think it no more than a 3. He tries to countrify everything and at 1/2 speed it seems to me. There are a couple of tunes done well but most suffer from the previously mentioned accounts.

He is a fave of mine, but not on this one. Save your money!

ZZ Top - Rio Grande Mud (I cannot stand how they remixed the edition I've got. I've heard there is another version more true to the Album)

Gentle Giant: Acquiring the Taste ... It does ask for exactly that.

Hard rock and Gregorian chants mix freely in this CD. Not for everyone. It is addictive & draws you into the sound then it leaves you standing at times to mull over what you think of what just went by. Excellent musicianship throughout with a multitude of instruments used for a unique sound.

Physical Graffiti never did it for me but Houses of the Holy has always been one of my favorite albums.

When I was 13 I lived in Italy for 8 months and road a public bus to and from school along the Mediterranean coast.

Yellow sport Walkman, Houses on one side and In Through the Out Door on the other.
Perfect.

BOB DYLAN AT 70. Twenty Five Meaningful Songs

Post by minir »

John Sprung (Writer)
"I am taking the easier (though still daunting) task of subjectively choosing the twenty-five of his songs that mean the most to me."

Interesting read imho. We all have our own version of whats best but in this case he has pretty much nailed it i think. :rockin:
