I concur that I wouldn't call her a class act, but I didn't have an issue with her messing it up. Stuff happens as you point out.

Christina Aguilera has been invited to sing a do-over.
The Brooklyn Cyclones are offering the Staten Island native a chance to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" before one of the minor league baseball team's home games this summer.

I didn't watch it live but the clip I've seen a couple times since then is always the same one, and you can tell just by watching the reaction of the players.

While I certainly didn't lose any sleep over it I don't think that pointing out a so called "Super Star" flubbing the National Anthem in front of millions of people while trying to personalize it to the point of annoying is nit-picking. Yeah, she's human, yeah we all mess up but we all don't get a chance to make millions while doing so! It's not even so much just Aguilera but the whole over production pop crap that irks me.

So what? Wealth doesn't reduce your chances of screwing up. It magnifies the effects of your screw ups. I'm not saying it shouldn't be mentioned, sure it should, its good workplace or random news. But she shouldn't have to do something to redeem herself for it.
If anything, she has to redeem herself for the crap that is her last album. lol

I couldn't name one single song she ever sang so I couldn't care less about redemption and expect nothing. My point is more about crappy, overblown renditions from pop stars.

It hasn't been a good year so far for Christina Aguilera. First "Burlesque." Then the National Anthem flub and a stumble at the Grammys.
Now, Aguilera, 30, and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler, 25, were arrested in West Hollywood early Tuesday morning
TMZ reports Rutler was pinched for driving under the influence and Aguilera, a passenger in the car, was arrested for public intoxication, a misdemeanor.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Department said Rutler's bail was set at $30,000, according to TMZ. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Aguilera was extremely intoxicated and "unable to take care of herself."
