Help with Finding a Good Virus Protection

Post by PopCulture »

I just got a new Toshiba laptop for Christmas. I'm already in love with it. I'm trying to find out what are the best virus protection programs to use. I do a lot of internet browsing. I'm currently running a free sub to Norton. What about McAffee? Know of any other good ones to use?

Free = Microsoft Security Essentials

Pay = There are many, but my preference is Avira AntiVir Premium.

For Free stuff... BUrke picked a good one but I also recommend Avast Home Free - it alone is far better than any of the paid stuff unless you go with the Pro version of Avast.

Thanks! I'll try that one first and see how it goes.
