Songs that move you, deep in the heart

Post by YeOldeStonecat »

Every now and then I get intense into some music, latch onto a song or two and can't get enough of it. Often making one remember someone, or if it's a song about loss..it can make you appreciate what you have.

Today after re-discovering a bunch of Dave Matthews Band recordings (Gorge concerts) must have replayed "Grace is Gone" a dozen times already.

I can't find any versions of that song on YouTube as good as the one from the Gorce concert I have...but this one is a pretty good acoustic version

Nice thread, especially with the sound clips.

This is a great thread...

I never heard that DM song Grace is Gone.. but that is one that I can relate to.. Dave's got that voice that is very unique.. almost like Nick Drake..

I love unplugged acoustic stuff.. I'm still working on trying to write and record one album. I got like 5 songs going at the moment... it's been a while since I've wrote anything..

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

Someone is bound to laugh because this is Journey...but that aside.. :p ...this one defines some good Steve Perry vocals and some cool guitar at the end.

Beat me to it, down to the song :thumb:

Last term in AZ , field class in the Sierra Ancha Mountains.

Lots of beer and great discussions, trips to town and back country 4x4 excursions to cliffs and waterfalls.

All to that album.

The video's title is wrong, it's "Drive".. I love that band "The Cars"... and I was fortunate to meet and get the singer's ( Benjamin Orr) autograph before he passed away.
