That was a great catch, she climbed way up that wall, quick. Was she supposed to catch the ball, considering she’s not in the game?

It was in fowl territory, but I have never seen them go that far back in any game. Usually the fielder makes a stab at it even in fowl territory.

Thanks for the answer, I know nothing about baseball except three strikes and you’re out.

Hey man I’m not trying to be a grammar Nazi but I guess I’m in the evil storm trooper mode. That’s not a chicken ball. I thinking you’re looking for the word “foul”. Fowl refers to an edible bird, mostly chickens. Sorry to call you out on that.

Isn’t the batter still out if the fielder catches the ball, even if it’s in foul territory?

I think Lefty is on to something because that outfielder seemed chicken to go and get that ball. :D

Doesn't matter. It was a sweet catch (be it staged) and I got a real good feeling from it. I hit the replay several times and am glad they took the time to make the film. A feel good moment for sure.

No worries Lefty. Hell I thought it was cool enough that I went looking for more info and more of the clip.

I am pretty sure the Humboldt Crabs play the Fresno team and it would have made good fodder for heckling. I still might use it in fact. There is no requirement for truth in heckling

Probably the biggest commercial fisheries seasons around here is the dungeness crab seasons. Now, if we could get the ones large enough off Humboldt and the baseball team then it might be the largest in the world
