It' between PNY GeForce GTX 465 (NVidia) $259.99 or VisionTek Radeon HD 5850 (ATI) $289.99
I really do like NVidia but from what I saw from reviews, the GTX 465 runs really hot and doesnt perform as well as the Radeon 5850.
Here is 1 site I saw comparisons:

The HD 5850 seems to be the better card.

The drivers for the new 465 cards are in their infant stage, the heat will get cut down as they are modified somewhat but the Radeon 5850's run fans faster than the 400 series to remove what heat they have coming from them. However, the 5850's for the price are getting higher results not just from the links you posted but in general all over the place when compared to the 465's one on one. The links you posted are pointing to running two of these in SLI for the most part.FFKefka77 wrote:It' between PNY GeForce GTX 465 (NVidia) $259.99 or VisionTek Radeon HD 5850 (ATI) $289.99

This one is around $300 which are about $20 more than the 465's which is what sets the two apart..you pay that extra $20 bucks and you get that extra performance. If you like Nvidia stick with the 465 and keep testing drivers as they come out and here lately Nvidia has been pumping them out and with each one a level of performance has increased along with heat and power consumption dropping with a few tweaks.
Here is a better 5850 card if you choose to get one ..never a fan of VisionTek and I'd suggest a eVGA card over a PNY card anyday!

ty for the quick responses you guys, I went with the NVidia GTX 465 cause everywhere I was looking for the ATI 5850 seemed to sold out and I like NVidia anyway. That 1 site with the review Yard was very useful too. So I got all the stuff I wanted to build my pc under $800.
Prolly could have done better but it will do it's job for now:
Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz Boxed Processor
w/ a A780L Socket AM2_/AM3 760G mATX Mobo (Bundle)
1x 4gig OCZ Performance DDR2-800 Memory (will get another stick to make 8 gig, next paycheck, plus the CPU came mobo that supports DDR2 sticks) =/
PNY GeForce GTX 465 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Graphics Card
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM (didnt seem like I needed anything higher)
750w Thermaltake PSU w/ the connectors needed for GTX 465
Thermaltake V3 Black Edition ATX Mid Tower Case
Samsung 22x DVD±RW Burner with Dual/Double Layer Support OEM
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM (cause I didnt really want to get SSD atm)
Total was like $793.xx, so I think I did alright, prolly could have done better but I just wanted a mid gaming pc for now until I can afford 1 of them badass 1s
