Mac Vs PC!

Post by Pettos »

Hey guys!

It's been a while! Do you remember me? :P

Right... So I have a macbookpro, running Mac OSX. It recently hates google and their sites. It won't load the google home page, googlemaps, bloggers, etc. This is using firefox, safari and opera.

I am connecting to the internet via a 3G USB dongle.

My girlfriends toshiba has no problems connecting to googles sites, this is using the exact same USB wireless internet dongle.

So, it's been a long time. So I thought I would give you all an update; So basically, I lived and worked in Sydney of recent times, and was back at TAFE studying a diploma in television. I wasn't getting challenged by the work load because I had TV industry experience, so I decided to get in touch with a university in Wagga Wagga (rural NSW) because I knew their television production faculty was awesome (which it is). So I got in touch with them, and they offered to articulate me into the third and final year of the degree. So that's what I'm doing now, and loving it! Yay me!

So yeah that's the latest with me, hope you're all doing well guys!

Catch ya soon!

Hey dude,

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I would know how to do it on a PC.

I can't find any (useful) directories that are on my mac though... I can't even find the cookies folder!

Hey guys,

I got it. I found and looked at my hosts file, it looked fine.

I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling Peer Guardian, I'm assuming that the log in PG was blocking google.

All is well again!
