World Cup FTW !!!!!

Would be nice if US didn't get such a tough opponent to gain some confidence first but we will see.

We've got a chance but I think the nerves will play a role in the outcome for us.

USA! USA! USA!

I have friends in the UK and have been giving them crap all week! I'm not a big soccer fan but I enjoy it when the WC comes around.

1:1 after 1st half

Didn't like the first goal, 2nd goal was aaaaawesome ! It was also hard to catch since it was jumping ball and could change direction anytime.

US is going to be under huuuge pressure and honestly .... I hope they will win.

omg Rooney ...4 years ago he was looking like (and I do believe he was) 18 years old and now ? 35+ lol

USA is holding the ball well but when England is on the Usa side they look very dangerous. Our one goal was a fluke but I kept saying to keep taking those cheesy shots on goal and it would pay off.

Spoilers!!!! (in case you have it recorded and have not watched yet)

I've been googling around a bit but haven't been able to find out what will happen since it was a tie (draw). Does anyone know how it is resolved in this situation? Seems to me like they should have done something to break the tie. Hell, do a round of roshambo if nothing else.

Doesn't matter if it is a tie cause it is a round robin. After this round is done the top two teams will move on I believe. Not sure how the points work though. Looks like a W is 3 and a tie is 1. If at the end of the round two or more teams are tied they'll probably use goals scored as the deciding factor.

yup, cho is right
winning 3 point's
tie 1
losing 0

In a case the teams got same points, the team with more goals will go to top etc etc etc
but if both teams got same points and different scoreboard (for example team A scored 12 and team B 20) and they are playing against each other one of them has to win only if they are playing for 1st 2nd 3rd 4th or advancement spot (e.g they would have tie so team B would automaticaly advance right? Not in this case) 90+ minutes first, then golden goal and if it's still tie they will do penalty kicks.

Would love to see Brasil, Italy, Spain, Germany, England, France in 1 group lol

My guess ...

Group A : Uruguay and Mexico

Group B : Argentina and ?

Group C : USA and England

Group D : Germany and Ghana

Group E : Netherlands and Denmark

Group F : Italy and Slovakia

Group G : Brazil and Portugal

Group H : Spain and Chile

And my guess for winning team ...one of the following ....Brazil, Germany, Italy or Argentina.
