Home use. Not heavy use at all.

I've run into nothing but issues with wifi printers over the years. I always do wired network printers connected directly to the router or switch. All wifi clients can print to wired printers by setting it up as a Local Printer using TCP/IP port for printing.

Since it's home, HP JetDirect wireless print server is probably out of your budget. I've setup the smaller HP printers with built in wireless support, yeah you'll find you have to reboot them now and then to get them to latch onto the wireless again. Once thing that helps. and I do this with all networked printers, assign them static IP addresses, instead of leaving them dynamic.

I use a Brother MFC-7840W. Works like a dream. I have it stashed away in a closet.
