Anyone use Tracfone?

Post by Brk »

I've used AT&T for years, but at present I have over 4,000 rollover minutes, so I'm not exactly a big user.

I want to get a prepaid phone that doesn't automatically expire at the end of the month (as in, I buy 300 minutes and they are good until I use them, not automatically deducted daily), and Tracfone seems to be the best solution.

Anyone use Tracfone and can give me their impressions of the service?

I do, Trac phone also counts down the days. You may still have minutes but be out of days. Get what they call a double minute phone and then buy a one year card for 99$. That will give you 800 minutes. and a year to go before you have to buy more minutes just to get the days. The cheapest phone is what I use but it has poor sound and poor reception in buildings.

I have my third TracFone, this one is the best so far, because it was on sale , its a flip phone , it takes pictures, everytime i buy new minutes it extends my registration time out by three months. And every time I add minutes it automatically doubles the minutes that i actually purchased. It also has Web Accses, and mutimedia and bluetooth, and just opening these Apps takes minutes away. I only have the cell phone for emergency purposes, quick calls and so forth. This TracFone plan was perfect for me because I don't as a rule use up the minutes before the 3 month dead line for reregistration is required. I don't know if this will help you at all, but i am not a cell phone addict, and prepaid is great for me .

I have the double minutes tracfone, it suits my purposes and I activated this tracfone in november of 2009 and I wont run out of days until july 2 2010. This is one less hassle for me as I not fond of cell phones and only uses it when I am away from home and I need to use a phone.

I use a T-mobile prepaid phone, once i reach the 100$ spent mark it'll move up from 90 day expiration dates to 1 year expiration dates. It also rolls the min. over.
