Discover Antarctica On Line (Video + Stills)

Post by IntrepidBerkEx »

My film "There’s Something About Penguins” is the saga of how I survived a cruise to Antarctica, featuring four delightful species of penguins, plus whales, seals, icebergs, glaciers, human outposts, unbelievable scenery, and much more. Antarctica is a visual delight. The video can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed internet connection.

This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I sell absolutely nothing. My video site is:

With any modem you can view a gallery of Antarctica photos featuring penguins at:

There are over 30 of my other amateur travel videos on-line. Visit Italy, England, Peru, Bali, China, Hawaii, Russia, Mayan Pyramids, Greece, Turkey, or take an African safari; see whales, elephants, or polar bears.

The planet is yours, including my Home Page giant galaxy of still pictures at:

Remove the embedded music and I bet you'll get twice the traffic looking at your photos and images.

Humboldt,

While I like midi music, this view is not shared by many others.

The problem actually is cased by Yahoo's tool, SiteBuilder, which lacks a command to mute website audio. I would provide that mute option, were it available.

Humboldt,

Glad you liked the penguins. Most of these shots would have started as single frames taken by my old, since replaced, Sony Hi8 camcorder. They can be converted into JPEG on my computer, and seem to come out fine. I believe three stills were converted to digital from 35 mm negatives. So their source is an automatic Pentax camera.

I now use a camcorder which takes digital stills, a much easier method for placing pictures on the Intrepid Berkeley Explorer site.
