Rickoic, What Systems Hardware, OS, and Clients are you running now.

Post by cajundon »

You are doing a great job with running so many WUs per day. :thumb: :nod:

I would like to know about all your systems, and type of clients on each systems.

I have 5 9800 GX2s, but 1/2 card has died in each 2 GX2s in one AMD Quad system, plus 1/2 card died with one of 2 GX2s on my other AMD Quad system and 1/2 card died on my AMD Dual system.

I'm running 5 SMP clients, 2 each on my Quads and 1 on my Dual.

I can't get my 5 PS3 WUs to unload any WUs and have turned them off, after being on for 2 months, without being able to upload anymore. Something changed in my ISP network, and I can't figure out why they will not upload.

Happy New Year everyone. :rockin: :cheers: :beer: :coffee:
:thumb: Folding for a better future!

See you later alligator. Cajun Don.

Well right now I have 5 computers cranking away.

1. Foxconn Inferno GTI with i7-860 2.8GHz
3 x GTS 250 GPU's
1 x VM -smp 7 -bigadv

2. Foxconn FlamingBlade GTI with i7-920 2.66GHz
2 x GTS 250 GPU's
1 x CPU client
(this one I'm working with Foxconn on to determine why it only recognizes 2GB of the 6GB ram installed, when fixed it will be running 1 X VM -smp 7 -bigadv)

3. ASUS Z8PE-D12 with duel Xeon E5520 2.26GHz
2 x GTS 250 GPU's
1 x VM -smp 8 -bigadv
1 x VM -smp 7 -bigadv

4. DFI LP DK 790FXB-N2/RSH AM2+/AM2 AMD with AMD Phe3nom II x4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz
3 x GTS 250 GPU's
4 x VM Notfred

5. VGA E760 Classified with i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz
3 x GTS 250 GPU's
1 x VM -smp 7 -bigadv

Have a 6th pc I'm having problems with, think the smoke damage it took is reacting on it right now, have another m/b I'm thinking of trying in its place and if I get it up and running it will be a:
EVGA board with Quad 2.8GHz
3 x GTS 250 GPU's
4 x VM Notfred

Point output:
1. GPU's 17,000 PPD
VM est at 13,000 PPD
30,000 Total

2. GPU's 11,000 PPD
CPU 573 PPD
(when working right VM est 13,000 PPD)
11,573 Total

3. GPU's 11,000 PPD
VM 13,000
VM 11,500
35,000 Total

4. GPU's 16,000 PPD
VM 1,200
17,200 Total

5. GPU's 12,000 PPD
VM 13,000
25,000 Total

30,000
11,573
35,000
17,200
25,000

118,773 Total haven't reached that average yet as I'm always tinkering with them and so my daily averager is somewhat less than that.

All that drooling is probably why I can't get the other pc up and running. Slobber Slobber.

Tried different power supply, locked up after 15 min.
Tried different motherboard, locked up after 15 min.
Tried different ram, locked up after 15 min.

That leaves my hard drive, and my GPU cards?

Well each motherboard I tried had a different cpu on it. The second motherboard/cpu/ram I tried was from a working system that I had just replaced, so I think I'm still stuck with a bad hd, or gpu(s).

Ok, with my present situp, without the 6th pc, here are the estimated numbers

AMD = GPU0 = 5,081.7
AMD = GPU1 = 5,113.6
AMD = GPU2 = 4,621.1
AMD = VM1 = 2,326.6
Duel = GPU0 = 5,455.6
Duel = GPU1 = 4,973.3
Duel = VM1 = 19,054.1
Duel = VM2 = 6,270.9
i73.06=GPU0 = 8,075.4
i73.06=GPU1 = 4,919.2
i73.06=VM1 = 12,815.7
i72.80=GPU0 = 6,099.8
i72.80=GPU1 = 5,401.4
i72.80=GPU2 = 5,211.6
i72.80=VM1 = 5,700.6
i72.66=GPU0 = 5,437.4
i72.66=GPU1 = 6,630.3
i72.66=CPU = 572.6

Total estimated PPD 113,761.1

Edit: Forgot to say I'm running Win 7 Pro on all except the AMD which is still running Win 7 PR and another which is running Win 7 Home Premium

Also as a note of interest, new GPU core available which will be d/l'd automatically it's Core version 1.31

Don't think so, ambient temp is in the 50's and 60's when this is occurring. Will check to see if I need to replace greese between cooling fan and cpu, and see if that will help. That never hurts.

Well, think it was a heat related problem, but with one of the gpu's. Tried moving it around to get better air flow, but it still shut down and took the computer with it. Instead of 3 gpu's I'm only running 2 and the computer has stayed up for about a half hour now, twice as long as it did before.
