Deploying Profiles

Post by reaser »

Recently YeOlde answered a question I had about printers on one machine for multiple profiles. Now I come across another question similar to the last one.

What are Network Admins doing in environments that have many users logins for one workstation. It has been very time consuming manually setting up each profile with background color/company logo wallpaper, desktop icons and so on.

How are most admins completing this task so that they don't have to login as each user to manually configure the profile. Microsoft must have made this easier I have yet to find an answer searching. I have seen some local policy settings and such but not sure that it covers all my needs.

Any suggested links or articles here would be greatly appreciated.

XP Pro and a few 2000 work stations. 2k Server as DC and secondary DC 2003 R2
