Hanns·G LCD Monitors, any of you guys own any?

Post by Shinobi »

I'm looking around for low priced LCD monitors, I see newegg has Hanns·G, I don't know too much about that company. Do any of you own any of those monitors? I',m also looking around for any other reputable web sites that would have good deals on monitors.

Thanks! :thumb:

Hanns-G has been around for a while, although not a widely known name. Their history is in making smaller specialty/novelty monitors, often for kids stuff...like monitors shaped like toys, etc.

Usually priced in the entry level bracket.

If you're shoping for attractively priced monitors...I do like Acer as a brand, they have low prices decent quality. As for a source....hard to beat Newegg.

I agree 100%.. I have a Acer 17" Wide Screen for my workstation downstairs. I also have a happy Acer laptop. I guess I'll keep watching newegg, and snag one when there prices get down to 79 to 89 dollar range.

Wow hadn't read that. It's still not clear of how much of a clean division there is.

The bottom of the article says it all.. I think BenQ should stay with Acer regardless..
Acer's stock rose 0.3 percent to NT$62.8 (US$1.93) on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Monday, while BenQ shares dropped 0.7 percent to NT$27.2.

Acer/BenQ will have a hard time separating themselves in the customers eyes, unless BenQ really goes out on something wild.

Its really more about the panels than the brands.

But if your looking for low priced monitors, quality isnt high on the list so just watch for good deals on Dell, Acer, BenQ, LG, and Samsung.

Depending on your use, I would avoid TN based monitors.

very true...do your eyes a favor and shop around for a deal on something with an ips-s panel...I've had my HP LP2065 for a while now with the ips-s panel and it is like sex for your eyes.

I've seen a lot of HP LCD's (like in the 1000's) have problems, either internally in laptops or desktop LCD monitors..
