kite boarding anyone

Post by gertvanjoe »

Who of you are involved in any extreme sports like kiteboarding or kitesurfing and the likes

any one skydive around here ?

Why is it that I am getting bored with being a clever IT and getting to do all this crazy stuff to keep me busy , gotta love it
So softly , so perfect , seemingly sleepingly
But for you , sleep , forever will do
Wish only to fight the urge
Beaten senselessly for your basic need
Sunken eyes around me ,
sunken spirits is what I see
Children , old beyond their day

I don’t know about anyone else but mountainman ski dives. I’ve been known to muff dive on occasion.

So THAT's what Ken mean by a ball dive.

I *tried* kiteskiing. Looks like fun if you have the requisite skills (I do not), I just managed some blisters and very tired muscles. I'm alright with a 2 or 4 string kite, but add in balance and water and I go all to hell.

I've wanted to try it, I used to windsurf a lot. I see a few out in the bay, looks like a blast on really windy days...they can catch some SERIOUS air.

I've done some skateboarding as a teenager, then some windsurfing as well, have a couple of surfboards in the garage that I haven't used in over a year probably :/

Kitesurfing looks like fun from the side, don't really feel the urge to do it, windsurfing is about as close I'll get to it for me.

It looks on the video as he is using a bar , and not the handles . Bars have safety systems incorporated for that not to happen , maybe he made his own bar and did not incorparate the depower / quick release system , cant see from the vid . No I'm not discouraged .... :)
