Hey Guys,
I have a HP DC5750 Microtower. I want to upgrade my CPU as this thing is dirt slow. Just wondering what kind of replacement CPU my motherboard will support. It says the socket is AM2 so does that mean I can get any CPU that is AM2?
This is a printout from CPU-Z

Thanks YOS. So I'm looking at this CPU:YARDofSTUF wrote:AMD X2 2.6ghz, no higher according to its data sheet.

The headline says this:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Dual Core Processor AM2 2.7GHZ 2X512KB 65W 65NM Retail Box
So it says 2.7GHZ, but under product specifications it says this:
Product Name: Athlon 64 X2 Dual-core 5200+ 2.60GHz
Is this a misprint or am I missing something here? Anyways would a CPU like this work for me? They have it on special so would be awesome to pick this up otherwise I'll have to look around more.

It could be a typo.
Email them. There are 2 5200+ CPUs, a Windsor and a Brisbane, one is 2.6ghz and the other is 2.7ghz.
And yes, Its an AM2 socket CPU, so its the right type. Make sure to get one with a cooler(retail not OEM, or buy a cooler for it) because the one for that sempron probably won't cut it for the new CPU.
