wow.. only upset your picking is LSU beating Florida? I do believe Florida will lose too but I don't see LSU jumping past Texas and Alabama if they do win but its a weird feeling weekend coming up and I see alot of upsets coming.

I don't see Nebraska losing either but stranger things have happened.

Man.. did my Hokies ever DOMINATE BC today.... 34-0 at the half with them having -7 total yards and then the 2nd string came in for the remainder of the game along with some 3rd stringers..gave them a few points but still a outstanding job all around!!

Top5 as of today based on AP Polls...

1. Florida
2. Alabama
3. Texas
4. VATech
5. Boise St.

This is ok with me cept for Boise St.. I don't think they have the strength of schedule to be at that point. They are 117th on the strength of schedule listing.... To compare the above:

Florida = 34th
Texas = 40th
Alabama = 68th
VATech = 8th

#1 is South Carolina with the hardest schedule based on preseason stats going into the season from PHIL STEELE’S 2009 toughest schedule listing.

Wouldn't worry about Boise State Sava. If your boys win next week you will be higher then BSU come the first BCS poll.

I'm not worried at all about Boise St passing VATech in the BCS polls...not one bit, but I think a few other teams are better that are higher as of now than Boise St. And it won't be "IF" it will be "WHEN", GT isn't playing very good at all, we saw that against a Florida st team that got beat by BC whom got their asses handed to them by VATech.

Although I agree that I think your team will win I wouldn't use common opponents to make an argument. That kind of argument has more holes then swiss cheese. Ultimately, Va. Tech will likely win because they have better talent and coaching.

Personally I think Alabama makes it to the title game. They are the most complete team I have seen so far this year and better than Florida. Things can change though so we shall see.

I fully agree... Bama is a complete team, Florida is sloppy so far and hasn't really played anyone besides LSU. I'm picking alabama to beat Florida in their regular season game and after this week when Texas gets beat by Oklahoma that should make very interesting for #1 and #2.... as in Rematch?

Florida and Alabama ultimately would have to face each other in the conference championship game, however, so at least one of them is guaranteed to take a loss before bowl season. That means, at least for now, the No. 3 spot is a pretty good place to be.

In the grand scheme of things, that team is Texas. But if the BCS standings were out this week, it probably would be Virginia Tech.

USC's closing schedule is as strong as any one loss team out there so if they run the table I imagine they will jump more then a couple of teams. Their final 7 opponents have a current record of 26-12 which pretty much beats any of the Top 7 or 8 teams with losses the rest of the way.

Long way to go though so it's really moot to get to involved with it yet.

I don't see USC beating Oregon... now this isn't the Sava that hates USC..this is the rational thinking looking at the numbers and how they are playing so far on both sides Sava.

It's not going to be easy that's for sure. Playing in Autzen is brutal to do. That said if they win that game then it will go a long way towards making an argument for them. Still one week at a time ultimately. Notre Dame is up next.

I don't see how ohio state can be 39 while michigan state is 1

I am not at all going to argue that osu has a strong schedule but I see no way msu can be that much higher....they played central michigan and notre dame. osu played usc not a huge difference in my book.

Honestly, those pre-season SoS' are weak man. They speculate based on last year's standings.

I still think ND may pull it off... All you need is a good Offense to control the ball and the clock and put points on the board..a little defense is what they got and that may be more than enough to allow Clausen time to give ND all of what they need.

USC's defense is one of the best in the country and they will make ND one dimensional. USC wins this game by at least 10 points.

If you call a close game at half that ended up lopsided nearly handing someone a loss then frankly I don't know how to respond to that.
