Any web designers?

Post by TinyTim »

Found an old post about some of the members here who do web design on the side. Since the post was over a year old I figured I would start a new one.

I am looking to hire someone to layout a websight for me. I already wasted $$$ on an unreliable web developer who is now completely unresponsive, but no need to go into that now...Anyway, I thought I would look to those on this site before gambling on another business.

What kind of site are you needing? A portal or what? Shopping carts etc?

nothing fancy, just something that looks nice and flows well. It's actually for my wife's photography business, but she has a program that she uses to create the galleries - so no need to incorporate into design. Shopping cart would be nice, but not necessary - maybe an add on for later.

Things we are looking to include in the site are:
- Functionality that re-directs the client to their photo gallery upon login, but only uses one user login form (maybe a login/pass box somewhere on the main page).
- Contact form that sends comments to a specified e-mail address
- maybe some rollover image changing and such

Don't really care how the site is coded - but we would like to be able to maintain the site after initial development.

Also, we currently have a domain hosted by "FatCow" that will be used

I have a site as many others have... I created most of it with joomla which is open source..the rest is vBulletin and custom graphics. Joomla is pretty easy to use and setup... give it a shot.

Open source as well.
