Stanford having problems

Post by rickoic »

Apparently Stanford is having problems with the server that passes out and receives work units is not doing its job.

I have 8 gpu's trying to upload finished wu's and getting new wu's, most already well up into the double digits on retrying. This seems to be getting steadily worse over the past couple of days.

Then suddenly it will clear up for about 3 wu's each and then start backing up again. Really sucks on the ppd average.

Believe I have solved the problem of GPU units trying constantly to get new wu's to fold.

I stopped them from the folders they were using and created all new folders for them to fold from. They immediately d/l'd new work units and began folding. They have all completed several wu's and haven't missed a beat for the past 10 hours.

Fold on

I'm still having trouble, get work for a while then it quits for long stretches. I checked the folding@home forum and found many people with nvidea cards are having the same problem. F@H says their working on it.

Added 9:20 PM EDT. My GPU been folding again since a little after 3 EDT
