I'm not sure what you mean by "compact driver".
There are hardware drivers, or device drivers. Since you mention gaming....that's a common reason you want the latest drivers on your system.
First...it's good to have the latest motherboard (or chipset) drivers installed. Builds a solid foundation which your other hardware runs on top of. Commonly you can get these (as well as your other drivers) from your computer manufacturers website. Or if you built your own computer using clone parts, say your motherboard was based on an Intel chipset...you would get the latest Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility.
Video card...your graphics, next big important item..same as above.
Sound card drivers are also a biggie.
Also you'll have network card drivers, and various other peripherals..but these are the basics.

If its a driver upgrade; basically it means that you need to update the software that controls / runs your videocard. You should find out the specifications for your computer and identify what company / make & model videcard you have. Most companies (HP, Compaq, Nvidia, ATI) have straight forward support sites that have the drivers listed in their support pages for the specific computer / videocard model.
If you are having trouble locating this information, list the model of your computer / video card and we'll be able to help you out.
