Hi my question is does it work to tweak my internet connection so it somehow helps my cs play/ping/anything :P? Sry if there's anyone that already wrote about this, as there probably is, i tried to search for it but it didnt go well..
Maybe im just stupid and it aint working to tweak any connection settings so it helps in cs but anyway a guy told me these settings where best for my connection.

I got 8/1 mbit Telia and im quite sure its not PPPoE. I got 10ms sometimes 26ms. Windows XP professional.
So are these settings the best for my cs "if it does matter" or should i change to anything else? Maybe i even should try to get it back to defult?

Yea, its not close to other electric things.. But i dont think i had this high pings before.. Yesterday i installed all drivers to my comp(updated) and i installed driver to my VIA VT6102 Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter if that could have made my ping worse.. I alos changed antivirus from norton 2009 to Avira premium security suite 2009

Some Firewalls may block your modem signal. Disable them and do another tracert yahoo.com

BTW, How does modem connect to comp ? USB or Ethernet ?

I disabled my Avira protection but i still got the same high ping but i also made a speed test and that worked much beter without my antivirus..

I got Ethernet. Do you which anti-virus thats good? Dont take so much power from your internet and comp but still protect good? I thought on kaspersky or maybe install norton 2009 again..

My guess is cables are need replacing ! Then I'd call ISP and have them check the line.

Ok i can call ISP and ask them to check but it will be hard to change cable. My cable a long cable which goes throw the walls in the house..
