hi im paying for upto 8mg but getting about 3 to 4mg and i only live 3/4mile from the exchange,

That bt hub is there a model#/another company that makes it do you know. Your hop 1 is very high either wirring is bad via network/phone something on the hub is misconfigured on the hub ,or computers..

I'll try to find a manual for that hub and post back if you know a link with the manual feel free to post. Going to see what options that may need to be changed.

i got same problem with the 1st hop and i also get Request Timed out when i ping -t to any server,

Ok the only other thing that could be slowing you up is does your ISP have a monthly bandwith limit like if you use so many mb/s do they capp you. Other than that hop all the other routes do look normal odd

im on unlimited downloads,,

i know one thing bt tryed to pull a fast one the other day for over a month the noise margin ranged from 7 to 10dB 3 days ago the download stream dropped to 5000kbps from 6789kbps when i looked at the hub adsl setting the noise margin went upto 15dB,

the moan at bt tec :rotfl: :rotfl:
as soon as noise marging went back to 9.1 the download speed went back up to 6789kbps

so is the line capped im not sure
