Hello all,
Can anyone recommend a good Antivirus for a server running MS small business server 2003 and MS Exchange.
I have had a look at Mcafee, mostly because we have PC's and Mac's, which Mcafee makes a server version to run on an MS Exchange, Client PCs' and Apple Mac's.
I was using Symantec on our server, but it's very slow and costly when it comes time to renew license's, plus I have to find a symantec reseller I cannot purchase throught the Symantec Business store.
Some of the other antivirus packages I have looked at are Bitdefender and Kaspersky for MS exchange, not sure though how these two Antivirus packages would work when we use the Apple Macs which will have either symantec or Mcafee installed, since these are the only two that make antivirus for Mac.
I guess Symantec of Mcafee maybe my only choice.
Kind Regards
Marshall

Esets Small Business Server bundle.
Includes their EAVB product....to manage the antivirus for your server and network clients, as well as their XMON component to protect the Exchange Server.
Specially priced together in a good deal for SBS.
Trend Micro also makes a popular package for SBS.
As for the Macs...may just let them run with their own client. I'd focus on a good product for your SBS first....have it also protect/manage your other Windows clients. And then get stand alone clients for the MACs.
Whatever product you do go with, follow this guide for proper real time protection exclusions on your SBS box
