Ikea

Post by tarpoon75 »

So the Ikea is opening up on Wednesday, there are people already driving in from around the area to camp out and get in on the opening day.

god help us. I plan on staying at least 5 miles away from the place for at least a month. I can't wait for to see the carnage on the news Wednesday night.

Quite a bit of chipboard & foam stuff but as long as you know what is decent and what is junk it can be a fun store.

They have some amazing swedish meatballs in the cafe, although a bit hectic when the store is busy. I usually have to be fed first before I can endure walking around listening to my wife tell me all the things we "need". :)

It's been around in Europe for ages, much of the furniture in my lifetime has come from them. It's great for furniture that you know you won't have for long, like a kid's room, great value for money in that category.

As adult you won't find all that you want, but they do have some decent items also in higher categories, usually also with an according price tag.

one opened here last year,I stayed away from it for a couple months after ,it's a cool place,I like the "organizing" components and hardware that they have for the kitchen, office, and closets, etc, etc.
lot's of container & wall mount stuff to keep things neat.

I really like the kitchen dept,

the lighting selection is kind of cool too.
