Chrysler won't go under. The country will go into tail spins. Think of the job losses. TARP will fund them.

Station Casinos are huge out here in Vegas. That would suck as they are the best locals spot for casino type entertainment(I go for the local bands that play there). They have like 11 very large resorts here.

Chryler will likely go under... it should since its very wasteful in building the cars they do and not advancing more towards better fuel economy.

Six Flags - yes for charging too damn much and that goes for any park. I was planning another Busch Gardens trip but unless I can get tickets less than the 59$ each then I'm not fooling with it.

I don't see Sirius XM going under at all..the merge was a good idea to keep the current customers..after all if they go under who's going to take over the Sats flying around for them?

I don't know about the rest but there are many smaller places around here hurting.. Advanced Auto just laid off local drivers to outsource deliveries from store-to-store.... nice way to stimulate the local economy Advanced.

I use XM mostly for sports (football).. I hardly use it during the regular year.

So how do you justify the monthly charge if you don't use it? I'm curious because the wife got me one for Christmas..(XM) and I can't seem to justify it at all as I'd only use it maybe 6 hours a week if that.

I'm not paying the full price... A friend of mine already had it and he just added another radio to it so its only a fraction of the amount. I purchased him a football ticket for a game in the fall and he paid me up for the year.

But no really I couldn't justify the full amount if its not being used.. for someone traveling alot then its worth it but otherwise no. However, I use the login to the site to listen to the channels for free while at work over the internet..so it works out pretty good.

Wow..didn't know Sirius and XM were really that bad off...

Sirius XM prepares for bankruptcy

[INDENT]The recently merged company between Sirius Satellite Radio, and XM Satellite Radio, have merged into Sirius XM, but along with the merge, came a massive debt that neither company was able to cover. The total debt for the newly merged company totals $3.25 billion overall, $175 million that is due at the end of February, something the company is unlikely to cover.

The company that reports more than 20 million active subscribers can see both its success and failures come from the auto industry, which offers Sirius XM pre-installed in some of the vehicles, but has recently asked for a bail out to dig itself out of the recession. The debt amounts from expensive satellites launched into space to provide signals anywhere in North America using the Sirius XM receivers.

EchoStar, a TV satellite company, could take over the company if things don't improve in a very short time. It is unclear if customers will be affected with the down fall of Sirius XM even with a rise in customers over the last year, having more new and returning customers than ever before.

An announcement will be made shortly if or when the company completes the paper work for filing a chapter 11. High priced talents like Howard Stern and Matha Stewart, both brought on by the company to promote the sales of their hardware, could see a prompted end to their satellite career as the company tries to cut back. Sirius surprised me.

Going to Vegas next week. $85 for Thurs - Sat night. Total! :) Rumor has it that LV is suffering bigtime as well. We'll see in about a week first hand.

Station Casino's: Scattered around Las Vegas.

Sirius-XM: They need to dump some star salaries. Oprah, Martha Stewart, O&A, Stern, etc. Maybe even some of their dj's. If they are really "sirius" about cutting the bottom line.
