Cause now I'm getting kinda PO'ed at Dell. My friend keeps calling me about his stupid Dell Latitude D820 that froze back in October when he was playing EQ, I believe I posted a topic on this awhile back.
Well after they replaced the MOBO the first time, it did it again so they called the techie back and he installed a new MOBO, Processor, n Heatsink. Then when he was playing EQ at his break at school, he said it got choppy and slow, couldn't even open the start menu for a good 2 mins or get Dell website to load and processor kept overheating and making a loud noise n made the fans go nuts and power off laptop. So Dell sent another techie to installed a new MOBO, Processor, Heatsink again, n fan.
Well then in the end of December his HD sounded like it had a rock inside so I was like that's gonna need to be replaced. He calls Dell and they send a techie to install the new HD but he also replaces the MOBO. And would you know it, once he got EQ to start it got all choppy and slow again.
Well he called me today and was like, "Dell says update latest driver for NVidia card", which we did once we formatted the new HD. So when he told the Dell support they suggested uninstall/reinstall the video adapter and if that doesn't work call them back and they will have another techie replace something.
WTF, they replaced sh*t like 4-5 times within the last 2 months and it's still not working correctly. Isn't there like a limit until they would just replace the laptop instead of replacing the same parts 4-5 times? Cause it seems like everything they tried hasn't worked at all.
Is there like limit for Dell laptops on warranty?
