is it worth it?

Post by MetalHead324 »

hey guys whats up. last night i just got the red ring of death on my xbox 360. it had a pretty good run, got it for christmas 2006, so im surprised it lasted as long as it did. anyway, i want your guys' opinions on something.
brian found this: http://www.instructables.com/id/SEKIN2CFEMY2V1Y/
it tells you how to fix it and make it even better and all that crap. so i want to know if you guys think its worth trying that and voiding my warranty or if i should just send it into MS. thanks!
oh and btw, my 2 year warranty ran out, but im still covered by the 3 year RRoD deal.

I would send it in. Also in the first paragraph of the link you posted it says that if you have a valid warranty USE IT. :rtfm:

Yeah I have heard that sometimes when they come back they only work for a little while and then they die again. But it wont cost you anything at all since they send you the box with shipping labels. Also I know a few people that have sent theirs in and no problems and its been at least a year.

Good luck with it and pray for a speedy return!!!! :thumb:
