Goodbye Polaroid
Goodbye Polaroid
Sad day indeed. I still have one and use it sometimes for fun.

We've still got one as well...it's not been used in quite awhile, and I'm afraid it'll probably not be used againtr87526 wrote:Sad day indeed. I still have one and use it sometimes for fun.

Wow...such a big part of growing up for many people..the family pictures stuck to the fridge with magnets.
One of my moms best friends growing up, her husband was one of the main guys from Polaroid...I remember trips to visit them when I was little..they had tons of Polaroid "stuff" at their house.
Their house was also near one of the main Jello factories...the smells sometimes wafting over from that factory...YUCK! (think of what Jello is really made of...boiled bones/cartilage/scraps from the slaughterhouse)

Ya miss the whole meaning of "Polaroid"....and the family culture thing behind the name.YARDofSTUF wrote:I'm too young because I'm willing to use an alternate brand of film in a polaroid camera? lol
It's just a, dunno the right word, just...a household word which brings back those kinds of memories for many.

Ya my mom had one when I was younger, but puting another brand of instant film into a polarood camera isn't the end of the polaroid world.YeOldeStonecat wrote:Ya miss the whole meaning of "Polaroid"....and the family culture thing behind the name.
