It's a Fender MIM (Made in Mexico) Precision Bass. Depending on condition $225 - $300.

I'd say 250-ish also.
The "made in Mexico" models are mid-range...most opinions hold them above the ones from overseas. (I'm not knocking MIM models...my Strat is an MIM). Sound and feel is good, just...value isn't up there as much.

The body color is solid, and no fancier options on it (such as the knobs).

I agree with YeOldeStonecat about the bass.

You don't say how you plan on getting rid of them but, sell them on your own or keep them. I wouldn't trade them in because the music stores won't give you anywhere near what they're worth.

I'll stand by my $400 because there is always someone out there looking for something specific.

I have turned down great deals on some vintage instruments in the past because I hated the colors. I'm not a fan of sunburst or natural looking guitars unless its something very very classy and/or unique. I happen to like the blue color of that bass.

I always start off asking a little high....let the power of negotiation work for you. Asking $250....if I was a buyer, I'd offer you $200. If you don't value your own instrument...then why should I?

Maybe I'm getting a little too much into the psychology of buying/selling but I see pieces of junk, total crap, that's sold for mucho dinero every damn day and it amazes me.

Don't sell yourself short.

Personally, I tend to keep musical instruments.

Well, what did you pay for it?

Probably purchased it with some "combo" deal..guitar was XXX, amp was XXX...but purchased together..probably had XXX knocked off the total price...as most music stores will do for you.

Just did a quick price check on it...the first link that matched this model somewhat...brand spanking new, solid color, rosewood, maple, even with fancier steel knurled knobs, with a Fender gig bag....$449.00 brand new.

I think $350 to & 400 is a good price.
