Back pain
Whatever you do cabledude, don't wait. Don't try to self diagnose either. Go to a doc.
Yesterday, I did not follow instruction. I was supposed to stretch and use the heating pad on my back first thing in the morning. It is the mornings when I suffer the most with this dam pain. Sooooooo....what does debbie do? I decided to take a shower. I slowly got into the tub and yes....I dropped the soap!
I had a hard time trying to bend down to pick it up. Finally, I ended on my knees and when I went to reach for the bar of soap, it slid right past me.
So now, I have to turn around and my hip is killing me. I could not get up. As a result, I had a DUH moment. I grabbed the soap dish and pushed against it as I tried to stand and lo and behold, I tore it out of the dam wall and a few tiles came down with it!
I hope I could correct this soon. If not, I am afraid I am going to do some serious damage to my apartment!

Years of hard labor, coupled with that accident I had around 5 years ago, can leave me in a lot of pain from time to time.
What am I doing now? Exercise and Yoga. Don't laugh, it works. I do weights and I use an inflatable ball to help strengthen the core.
I have 3x compressed disks...lower back, right before there the sciatic nerves break out. When it bothers me....oh boy...
For many years, did physical therapy at several different places, saw various docs, XRays, MRIs, pain meds, other meds for anti swelling, and discussions of surgery. The PTs gave me workout routines to do at home, stretches 'n exorcise balls, etc. When my back acts up, it's often weeks of light duty til it sloooowly gets better. Sometimes after a bad episode of doing something stupid to mess it up, it's two months or so til it settles down.
Once I was given that inversion table....
And they don't cost too much...most are around 2 hundge. It'll pay for itself in short time when you factor in co-pay of going to the physical therapist. (pretty quick for me, I'm on small business insurance plan..so my co-pays are high).

I am going to look for one. I don't know where the hell I will put it here in this tiny apartment, but I will make it work some how. Right now I have inflamation and it is putting pressure on the disc. OMG Brian, you are so right. The pain is unbearable. My doc told me that if I am like t his on Monday, to come to him and he will send me to a pain specialist. YEAH RIGHT!!! I will not let anyone shoot cortizone in my spine. NO FRIGGEN WAY. Even just hanging 5 minutes a night for a few days...and the improvement is wonderful. I even add to it...while upside down I'll start doing some upside down curls with the dumbbells. The extra weight of those helps stretch your back even more.

Not bad...the foot hold looks cushy enough, that's the main part of what I think some people should look for. As..don't forget, a good portion of your weight is suspended by your locking your foot in place...so you have some pressure on the top of your arch as you hang inverted.Debbie wrote:http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... ku=8145190
