Overclocking a t-bird question

Post by Crimson »

I was just wondering if t-bird cpu's come from the factory with the "golden bridges at L1" already connected or dis=connected.

for those who had to connect so you could overclock could ya give me a description of how it was done?
I hear it's pretty simple, like 5 min or so to do
thanks=)

OK, look at your T-bird and focus on the L1 bridges. If they are separated, you have to connect them with either: pencil, or conductive pen.

If you use pencil, us HB lead and go over the bridges thouroughly!

Ok, I guess im a little confused. It's that simple eh? You are running the pencil back and forth a few times and that will connect them somehow? That wont damage that chip I assume?
Thanks for help

Not a few times, for at least 30 seconds. You might want to use a magnifying glass too because those bridges are very small! Even with a .5mm mechanical pencil it's still hard!

GL!
