I only read one of his books, but I thought it was great. I have heard most of his books were also well written

Most of them are. he had a habbit of going on 'rants' in some of his books. Where you would be cruising along turning pages and he would state his opinions through a character (i guess thats the point of being an author) but the page turning seemed to quickly slow down.

He even admitted that at times when writing Jurassic Park that his Malcolm character would just go on and on... :D

If you haven't read PREY i would recommend doing so. Really fast read, fun book for sure.
