I'll believe it when I see it. 16 month troop withdrawl? I'm willing to bet a months paycheck that it doesn't happen.penguincomrade wrote:That's where you're wrong. He's not withdrawing the troops, he's just simply relocating them to Afghanistan. That's one of those big things people seemed to have missed.

It won't happen. The Emir of Kuwait already stated that if the next President withdrawls the troops from Iraq, he'll personally recommend and create room here in Kuwait to relocate them here. Bet your sweet ass we'll be out here for a long, long time.JBrazen wrote:I'll believe it when I see it. 16 month troop withdrawl? I'm willing to bet a months paycheck that it doesn't happen.

I have been upset with Bush's second term, but people tend to forget we elected a democratic controlled congress a few years back for much needed 'change'. How many of you think we are doing better now than we were then....
I will miss having a President who obviously has a personality and seems 'down to earth'.
Go ahead with your jokes!!

You stated you missed that he wasn't assassinated Randy that's pretty much the same thing.Randy wrote:I never said i wished he was dead, I don't wish for him to die.
I am really amazed at people's refusal to admit a mistake nowadays. One of the first things people do when they recognize a mistake is to try and pawn off their mistake by focusing the attention elsewhere. It appears Randy you are afflicted with the same problem. In answer to your question though and I will say this just once I wish he was captured so we could attempt to get as much information as possible.but let me ask this; Roody do you wish bin laden was dead?
Now back to the fact you stated you will miss the fact he was assassinated. Honestly Randy. The easiest thing to do is to just admit it was a bad thing to say and move on.
Yeah.Joint Chiefs of Staff wrote:The Iraqi govt. and it's people state, "No US Presence" by 2011. No troops, no bases, no training force...nothing.
See this is what I don't get about people who say Democrats and people like Obama are traitors that will pull out of the middle east, embolden the enemy and ruin the sacrifice of the troops.
The point of going (aside from WMDs that weren't there) was to free the Iraqi people from tyranny, right?
And give them democracy and freedom, right?
So if they elect a democratic government and all decide they want the US out, that means the mission is now truly accomplished and its time to go, right?

President says, "Bring them home", kuwait goes, "Look we have empty beds, stay here!" Why would our military stay?
I disagree! I hope GWB lives a long happy life now in a lesser power of abusing americans and people of the worldRoody wrote:You stated you missed that he wasn't assassinated Randy that's pretty much the same thing.
That's an assumption on your part. How you perceive my affliction is incorrect. Try not to make an ass out of yourself, I'm not playing the shell game here. I stand behind what I say 100%.Roody wrote: I am really amazed at people's refusal to admit a mistake nowadays. The reason for me asking you about bin laden was to find out if you believed in what you said about "Wishing death on anyone is just wrong". Do you realize if all of America believed the way you do you'd likely be dead. The reason you have the life or comfort you have is because our grandfathers were taught to kill.
If you account all the men that died in the war and for each contributing a small percentage of a better life for all of us. Now considering what good things GWB could have done for a better life for all of us but instead GWB pissed out the window like ozzy @ the alamo. It is indeed a disgrace and dishonor to our dead soldiers. That window is now closed and yes I miss the fact that nobody shot him in the head while he was president as almost anyone could have done a better job as president
do you understand where I'm coming from now?
BTW I think Obama has a helluva mess to clean up and will do a better job than Mcain could have.

ass is the first 3 letters of assumption and that's why I used it In general the only time I call some one an ass is when they make assumptions.Roody wrote:Your points get lost when you make remarks like this. Is it not possible for you to make a statement without swearing at me?

I guess your right about him being shot a better solution would be if he slipped into a coma for 4 yrs or to make it even milder replaced by another president for some other means less harming to the individual running thecountry into the ground

Deb, In this PC correct world, many things can be thought, however, not spoken... Stating what he did could by some, be considered illegal... And, in these times, it very well could land him on a watch type list. Big difference stating an opinion and wondering why someone hasn't literally killed someone, especially when you are talking about the President. I am sure that equal thoughts will go towards our incoming Prez., however they will not be allowed to be posted here...Debbie wrote:An opinion is an opinion. As you very well know from this forum, some opinions really get to some people and they feel that they are wrong. But, I will repeat.....an opinion is an opinion and people have the right to voice them.
There have been many things said in this forum that are not appropriate. I just looked at it as an opinion that I was not in agreement with whether or not I posted how I felt or not.
I am going to edit his post and all quotes of it...

This November, we Americans pick our President, but until then, lets pick on our President. Use the pop-up menues to change Mr. Bush's face.
Choose a hair style Bad hair dye Bald Balding Blond hair Comb-over Normal hair Thinning hair Choose a pair of eyes Cross-eyed Asleep Dreaming Drunk Evil Idiot Normal Winking Wall-eyed Choose a mouth Bad teeth Closed lipped Frowning Goatee Missing some teeth Mustached Normal smile Big smile Needs a shave
