If you don't want to talk politics then by all means don't Sava, but don't come into a political thread post an opinion and then say you don't talk politics in forum boards. That's a serious contradiction.
Its not a contradiction... I'd rather drop my opinion on the subject and go on with life... why argue about it over the internet? Your not discussing anything...its nothing but a pure argument. If you see it differently then that is your opinion on how you view my thoughts on it...

I come in to many threads, drop my opinion and go on, I'm entitled to do that just as everyone else is but don't expect me defend my opinion when its just as correct and meaningful as yours or anyone elses.

Sava, you gave the impression that under Obama's tax plan that taxes will raise. One doens't need google. You only have to do some simple reading to know that for the majority of Americans, that's a falsehood. In fact for a majority of Americans, they'll get a tax cut. Pure and simple.

I do love reading your arguments though.

Hate to say this Sava, but when you come into a thread make a claim that alot of people would consider outrageous and then refuse to clarify your points that comes across like trolling. That may not be your intent, but that's exactly how it comes across. Again if politics on forum boards isn't your thing then don't reply to them. Otherwise you will likely get responses to your remarks. As long as people keep it civil then you will likely continue to find more and more people who call you on it.

I don't want to butt in, but I saw this and just had to say something- Your opinion is not as "correct and meaningful as anyone else's" if what you say is not true.

We all know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts. Just because you believe something to be so but can't prove it, that doesn't make what you have to say just as valid or important as someone who disagrees, and can prove the opposite.

Facts and opinions are not the same things. Its really hard to have a debate and come to an agreement these days, because so many people don't respect facts anymore.

The 1 point that is being missed is who the increased taxes will affect and how... You see, those are the people that have the intelligence, motivation, know how, balls, etc., to make companies and lead them to grow, you know, the people that give the working class jobs... Now, when you start taking their money and redistributing it, they are going to intensify what has already been going on, they are going to cut jobs, relocate to other countries, out source, etc...

Now, the media will blame it on the economy, cheap foreign labor, whatever, anything except the real reason. The rich will protect their assets, as they always have. Unlike the working class that lives on credit...

What ever happened to a chicken in every pot and a car in every driveway. It has become dinner every night at fine restaurants and 3 cars in every garage... Just something to think about and remember when unemployment starts to rise...

Ken we can celebrate Reaganomics till the cows come home but the reality is, it's a dismal failure. It was under Reagan, it was under Bush I and it's still a failure under Bush W..... The difference being that Reagan and Bush I realized it and raised taxes.

Now what's being talked aobut isn't that big a tax increase under the Obama plan and it wasn't hurting the rich under Clinton as it would be the same rate for pretty close to that top 10 percent. Big deal.

Who stands to gain with a bigger middle class? Of course that top 10 percent do. A bigger middle class translates into a more healthy economy.

Look neither plan address's the national debt. Both make it worse and in the end, if we don't fix it, there will even be a lot of rich folk who'll have a hard time finding butter for their toast.

Its not trolling..we've been through this before. I'm entitled to give my opinion as does anyone else. Don't like it ohh well, but don't expect me to sit here and waste time trying to argue with someone that doesn't like my opinion cause they think theirs is better..thats just dumb. If I don't like someones opinion then I'll give mine and step to the side...no harm no foul.

As for you jjrs, my opinions are just that..from what I think about a issue or subject..if you treat them as purposed facts then thats your problems cause you've now tried to turn it into a argument about facts when thats not the point. No need to argue on the internet cause nobody is every wrong lol

Again I don't have a problem with you sharing your opinion. That said don't go at it half-hearted. If you don't want to discuss politics then don't come into a thread and make a remark that will only serve to raise more questions. Simple as that really.

Is "Don't go after it half-hearted" part of Phillip's rules for posting in the forums? With that said, and your feeling known... I'm OUT!

I can give my opinion on any subject even politics but that doesn't mean I'm up for discussion on it. Just like me passing through to piss on a tree doesn't mean I want to climb it afterward. Simple as that too :)

Can't say that it is, but I think you understand the point. Again throwing out a remark about something and then refusing to clarify your points when asked smacks of trolling. I don't think that is Sava's intent, but it's certainly how it comes across.

So if you are asked to clarify a point based on a comment you made you will do so?

I didn't give a point to be clarified.. I'm just giving my opinion. Your thinking of "Points" I don't view them as points...just meager opinions from yours truly.
