help! Diablo II Graphics problem

so when I play Diablo II this happens:

I had it installed on this computer last year and played it.It worked great and I highly doubt my graphics card is bad. I can play Final Fantasy XI Online and it has got better graphics. I have tried everything I could and still after playing for 5 minutes the game does this crap. I really would like some help I really like this game and want to play it but,it insists on doing this to me

my graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 6600 and my operating system is windows XP. My processor is AMD Athlon 3700+.

most likely the card is over heating or bad.

You can try to update video drivers but I'm leaning towards the above.

Thank you.I have been checking up with the temperature of my computer.My GPU is 62 degrees celsius on idle.I don't know if that's good or not.I am not overclocking.

the temp is fine... so I'm willing to say its the card going bad. Most makers of the card like BFG, eVGA offer lifetime warranty..just call them and tell them.
